You may have heard of affiliate marketing around the internet. It is one of the longest and strongest ways of making money online, and using it your blog is standard. Done right, it can be your staple blog income.
So what is affiliate marketing?
It is the art of recommending products and services, and getting paid for those recommendations – in a nutshell.

Sound straight-forward? It is really. All you need to do is be proficient in a topic, find some people who wanto to be proficient in the same topic and guide them along the way to being good at your subject too. You have probably purchased products in your area of interest (as it is your own passion), and tried and tested what those products are like. The ones that work, you recommend and if someone purchases those products via your link – you get paid.
How do I get paid for the link? Most services out there now have affiliate programs. A quick google search will bring up these affiliate program details. So..lets say that your passion is art. You can recommend your favourite art programs. Search for ‘art supplies affiliate program’ and you will be presented with lots of options on what to recommend to your blog readers. And the totally amazing thing? It costs your reader zero, zilch, nada! They well pay the exact same price that they would pay if they did not use your link. But they get the added reassurance that you have test-driven the product first and the confidence that you use and like the products.
